Unwanted Children

A young woman in Cincinatti recently became pregnant and wanted to give her baby up for adoption. But ... tests showed that the baby had Down's Syndrome. (Down's Syndrome is a genetic defect that can result in physical deformities and mental retardation.) Would anyone be interested in adopting such a child?

Fortunately, she called Cincinatti Right to Life, and they called the Down Syndrome Association of Greater Cincinatti, who informed them that they had thirty couples in the Cincinatti area on a waiting list to adopt Down's Syndrome babies.

Another adoption placement organization in Cincinatti, Adoption Option, recently placed a baby who was deaf, blind, and without arms or legs.

Every child is a wanted child.
